William Cecil 'Bill' Stotler

   William Stotler age 79, of Herculaneum, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at his home. He was born July 18, 1940 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the son of the late Nora (nee Dodson) and Henry Stotler.
   He is survived by his wife Barbara Sue (nee Thurman) Stotler of Herculaneum; sons Doug (Cathriel) Stotler of St. Charles, Missouri, and Darren (Cynthia) Stotler of South City, St. Louis, Missouri; daughters Dana (Todd) Pannett of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Diane (Michael) Kileen of Troy, Missouri; grandchildren Rachel Stotler, Madeline (Jordan) Wynn, Molly Pannett, Sam Pannett, Kyle Stotler, Kailey Stotler, Evan Kileen, and Nora Kileen.
   In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by an adoptive brother and sister.
   Mr. Stotler graduated from Bonne Terre High School in 1958. During his college experience he played college basketball for Moberly Jr. College and Flat River Jr. College before graduating from South East Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was a longtime teacher, coach, administrator for the Dunklin R-5 School District. At the time of his retirement he was the Herculaneum High School Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. In addition he refereed many volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball games in the region. He worked many summers at the Teamsters Health Camp in Pevely; and was an active member at Good News Community Church of Festus. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, friend, and mentor to many.
   Visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Good News Community Church of Festus, officiated by Rev. Jack King. Memorials in his memory are preferred to Good News Community Church, or the Marie and Rae Thurman/ Bill Stotler Scholarship, C/O Mineral Area College Foundation.
