age 93, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Crystal Oaks Nursing in Crystal City, Missouri. He was born October 30, 1925 in Kimmswick, Missouri the son of the late Emma A. (nee Christ) and Henry W. Lindwedel.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Katherine (nee Klund) Lindwedel; sisters Gladys (the late Lloyd) Becker and Esther (the late Elmer) Held; brother Harold (the late Verna) Lindwedel and grandson Bryan Lindwedel.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla Jean (nee Decke) Pooker-Lindwedel; sons Ray (Cloice) Lindwedel of Hillsboro, Wayne (Marsha) Lindwedel of Hillsboro, Dennis (Charlotte) Lindwedel of Festus, Missouri; brothers William (Patricia) Lindwedel of Pevely, Missouri, Henry ( Esther) Lindwedel of Pevely, grandchildren Penny (Justin) Perriguey, Tracy( Eli) Parkhurst, Katherine Lindwedel, William Lindwedel & Margaret "Maggie" Lindwedel, step-daughters Brenda (Kriby) Thowe of Texas, Cheryl (Dan) Traub of Kansas, Marci (Joe) Reagan of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Calvin enlisted in the United States Army December 15, 1944 and served in southern Philippines campaign during WWII until he was honorable discharge from the military on November 12, 1946.
He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, the Lutheran Laymen League and a life member of VFW #3777.
Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, then after 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 2, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro officiated by Pastor Mark Harriss. Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hillsboro.
