Marilyn June Regan
age 91, of St. Louis County, Missouri, formerly of Festus and Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Creve Coeur Assisted Living in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She was born December 24, 1927 in Jefferson County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Marguerite (nee Butler) and Francis A. Roth.
She is survived by a son Robert Brent (Jane) Regan of Overland Park, Kansas; daughters Ann Leslie (Gordon) Hardin of St. Louis County, and Mary Michelle (Elizabeth Rose) Regan of New York City, New York; grandchildren Michael Andrew (Lori) Regan of Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Katy (Matthew) Jennings of Leawood, Kansas; great-grandchildren Madeleine, Sydney, and Max Regan, and Allison and Grant Jennings, and 2 nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Paula (the late Nelson) Eaton.
She was a graduate of Jefferson College and Webster University. As a very talented artist, she became an art instructor at Our Lady, Hematite, Festus, and Windsor schools. She had been a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, Our Lady Church in Festus, and St. Dominic Savio in Affton, Missouri; and was a member of the Twin City Jaycees; the former Treasurer for the City of Festus, and was instrumental in securing water fluoridation for the city and surrounding area.
Graveside memorial service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City will be conducted at a later date. Memorials in her memory are preferred to Heifer International, #1 World Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 or the Fine Arts Department of Webster University.
