age 92, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at her home. She was born April 2, 1927 in Crystal City, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Theresa (nee Fischer) and Frederick W. Harter, Sr.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Joseph H. Hagan; sisters Eleanor Elizabeth Harter, and Thelma (the late Vincent) Smith; and brothers Paul A. Harter, Frederick (the late Millie) Harter, Jr., Sylvester (the late Sadie) Harter, and Robert J. (Marian survives of Columbia, Missouri) Harter.
She is survived by son John (Carla) Hagan of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters Ret. Col. Mary Ann (Michael) Burke, DDS of Kirkwood, Missouri, Julia M. Hagan of Crystal City, Dr. Jean M. (Randy Graham) Hagan of Festus, Missouri, and Catherine L. (Denny Dennison) Hagan of Mulberry Grove, Illinois; grandchildren Emilie Burke of St. Louis, Edie (Ben) Delin of Durango, Colorado, Joseph (Amber) Hagan of St. Louis, Katie (Glenn) Ellington of St. Louis, Ben Hagan of Wisconsin, and Peter (Kelli) Maginot of Los Alamos, New Mexico; and great-grandchildren Gus and Gemma Delin, Fiona and Hazel Hagan, and Peter, Gregory and Zachary Maginot.
She was a 1944 graduate of Crystal City High School and a lifelong, very active member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and with the Legion of Mary.
Visitation 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Fr. Clark Maes. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials in her memory are preferred to the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery Fund, St. Vincent de Paul Society at Sacred Heart, or the Alzheimer's Association.
