   Mary Christy age 95, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Bethesda Southgate in South St. Louis County, Missouri. She was born March 25, 1924 in Apple Creek, Missouri, the daughter of the late Regina Marie (nee Ponder) and Stephen Wibbenmeyer.
   In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Freeman Christy, Sr.; sisters Philomena (the late Henry) Laurentius, Rufina (the late James Sr.) Martin, Loretta Wibbenmeyer, Ann (the late Donald) Lundry, infant Dorothy Wibbenmeyer, and Genevieve (the late Joseph) Schwartz; and brothers Sylvester (the late Rita) Wibbenmeyer, Anton (the late Merle) Wibbenmeyer, Theodore (Shirley survives of St. Charles, Missouri) Wibbenmeyer and Valentine (Marilyn survives of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri) Wibbenmeyer.
   She is survived by son Ernest E. (Zeonia) Christy, Jr. of St. Charles, Missouri; daughters Connie (Jeff) Quinn of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Belinda (Richard) Pelikan of DeSoto, Missouri, and Karen (Thomas) Pelikan of Festus; grandchildren Chase Christy, Ella Christy, Jackson (Erin) Pelikan, Andrew (Marina) Pelikan, Katy (Jeff) Grimes, Jacquelyn Morton, Christy (Joel) Gass, and Jason (Kati) Quinn; and great-grandchildren Oliver Pelikan, Gabriel Pelikan, Laura Morton, Zane Morton, Jameson Quinn, Stone Quinn, Megan Grimes, Kenny Grimes, Joey Grimes and Isabell Grimes.
   She was a retired Unit Secretary for St. Anthony's Hospital when located at both South Grand Ave. in St. Louis, and in S. St. Louis County; and was a devout member of Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus.
   Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Our Lady Church in Festus, officiated by Fr. Gregory Klump, Pastor. Interment in the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Memorials in her memory are preferred to Our Lady Church.
