She was a loving and caring Wife, Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister-In-Law, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. Her departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. Our great love for her will continue throughout our days.
Visitation will be at Second Baptist Church in Festus from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018, followed by a celebration of life service at Second Baptist Church at 11 a.m. where her memory will be honored.
Eunice was born May 18, 1926 to Curtis and Olga Skaggs in Potosi, Missouri. She moved to Crystal City in June of 1944 where she met her husband, Floyd. They were married on September 30, 1944. They had three children, Joey, Rodney and Rita.
She was a Christian lady with deep faith who loved her church and church family but especially loved her Lord. She was truly an example of how to live.
By far her favorite times were spent with her family. She also loved to travel, cook, metal detect, fish, plan parties for her friends and involve herself in activities at church. She was always up for an adventure and as such, she wrote and published a book, "Down Memory Lane" that told her life story. She knew no strangers and was loved by everyone she met. Her precious sweet smile was always given freely and will always be remembered by everyone she touched. She lived the first 90 years of her life in Missouri. Her family moved her to Oklahoma for the final 2 1/2 years of her life, so they could be with her daily to care for her.
She is survived by one son, Rodney (wife Kimberly) of House Springs, Missouri, and one daughter, Rita (husband Brad) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; grandchildren Allen Jesse, Angela Stanton, and Joshua Jackson; great-grandchildren Zane Stanton, Logan Jesse, Isaac Jackson and Emily Jackson; sister-in law Lola Skaggs; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Floyd Jackson, son Joey Jackson, granddaughter Tiffany Jackson, brother Stanley Skaggs, parents Curtis and Olga Skaggs, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Earl and Ethel Sheets, Charlie and Thelma Johnson, Homer and Bernice Summers and Robert and Ruth Jackson.
