Jacob Michael 'Jake' Habsieger

   Jacob Habsieger age 33, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at his home. He was born June 27, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Brenda (nee Hill) and Michael Habsieger of Festus.
   In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Amber L. (nee Malusky) Habsieger; daughter Taylor Nicole Habsieger; son Austin Andrew Habsieger; loyal companion "Moose"; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
   He is preceded in death by his brother PFC Andrew James Habsieger, USArmy; and grandparents Geraldine and Doyle Hill, and Ruth and Earl Habsieger.
   He served as a specialist in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was discharged under the "Sole Survivor Act" in August of 2008. He was a deputy for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, also worked in construction, and was a member of the Andy Habsieger Foundation.
   Visitation 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral service 9:30 A.M. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Jarold Rux, and Pastor Kyle Castens of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City, Missouri. Interment with full military honors in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials in his memory are preferred to the Andy Habsieger Foundation, or K9s for Warriors.
