   Harry Hutson, Jr. , age 95, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home. He was born February 24, 1922 in Washington D.C., the son of the late Melvina (nee Perkins) and Harry Hutson, Sr.
   He is survived by his wife of 78 years Janet (nee Hauck) Hutson; son Richard (Janet) Hutson of Festus, brother Ralph (Carol) Hutson of St. Mary, Missouri; sister Marilyn (Ron) Carron of Aledo, Texas; grandchildren Dena (Ray) Skiera, Sheryl (Rick) Bayers, Shelly (Ron) Stillman and Scott (Angela) Hutson; great-grandchildren Carrie Stillman, Brandon Stillman, Megan (Dustin Novotny) Skiera-Novotny, Ryan Skiera, Payton Hutson, Melinda Bayers and Andrew Bayers; and great-great-grandchildren Kylie Halley and Grace Bayers.
   In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers Uel (Marie survives of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri) Hutson, Thomas Hutson, Wayne (Rose Ann survives of Ste. Genevieve) Hutson, Lloyd Hutson and Donald Barry Hutson; and sisters Melvadine (the late Stanley) Buckholz and infant Delores Hutson.
   He served in World War II with the Merchant Marines, was the owner/operator of Hutson Glass Co. in Crystal City, Missouri, was a past-president and member of the Festus-Crystal City Chamber of Commerce and received the distinguished service "Man of the Year" award in 1968. He was on the board of Directors of the former Boatmen's Bank of Jefferson County, was a charter board member of Jefferson County water district #5 and past-president of the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club. He was a member of Saline Masonic Lodge #226 in St. Mary, Missouri and a 32nd degree member of Moolah Shrine.
   Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, Missouri. Funeral services 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials in his memory are preferred to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Alzheimer's Association.
