Wallace Burton 'Wally' Huddleston

   Wallace Huddleston , age 87, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home. He was born March 11, 1930 in Riverside, Missouri, the son of the late Mildred Elizabeth (nee Caby) and Thomas Edward Huddleston.
   He is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Pope) Govero-Huddleston; daughters Cheri (Joe) Horn of Herculaneum, Missouri and Mindy Govero of Festus; sons James Huddleston of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Marty Govero of Bloomsdale, Missouri; a sister Marilyn Southard of Katy, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
   In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Mae (nee Carron) Huddleston; and sisters Betty (Herb) Marler and Alice (Earl) Reed.
   He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired Control Manager for Dow Chemical in Pevely, Missouri, member of the DeSoto Church of Christ and Life Member of VFW #3777. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and a die-hard Herculaneum Blackcats fan that loved and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
   Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral services 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Don Bahr of the DeSoto Church of Christ. Interment with full military honors in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
