, age 90, of Herculaneum, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Crystal Oaks in Crystal City, Missouri. He was born September 20, 1926, in Carrie, Kentucky, the son of the late Susie (nee Sawyers) and Floyd Risner.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (nee Dannecker) Risner; sons Marv (Debby) Risner of La Porte, Texas, and Steve (Judy) Risner of Homer, Louisiana; brother Luther Risner; grandchildren Carri (Tony Kindwall) Risner, Lacey (David Oh) Risner, Tyler (Melissa) Risner, and Stephanie Simmons; and great-grandchildren Maddi James and Gracelyn Simmons.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Luther Risner and sisters Easter Friuemuth, Serena Cornett and Opal Risner.
He was a retired chemical engineer from Dow Chemical in Pevely, Missouri, and United States Army veteran of World War II.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Friday, June 16, 2017, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely. Private interment in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Memorials in Lacy's name are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
