, age 74, of Pevely, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his home. He was born March 23, 1943, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, the son of the late Deloris (nee Clemens) and Gilbert M. Pfaff.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (nee Davis) Pfaff, daughters Brenda M. (Michael) Wright of St. Louis, Missouri, and Nancy (Randy) Russell of Arnold, Missouri; sons Gilbert J. (Kim) Pfaff of Pevely and Raymond G. (Sarah) Pfaff of Montgomery City, Missouri; sister Geralynn Pfaff of Arnold; brothers Thomas (Al Vorwold) Pfaff of St. Louis and Robert (Theresa) Pfaff of Pevely; grandchildren Christopher (fiancée Paige Bohn) Wright, Morgan Pfaff, Brendin Wright, Miranda Pfaff, Joshua Russell, Anna Pfaff, Ryan Russell, Jennifer Pfaff, Max Pfaff, Mitchell Pfaff, and Gilbert Pfaff Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by infant brother Roger Pfaff.
He was a retired regional manager for the United States Postal Service Midwest Region, a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, Missouri, a United States Navy veteran, a former Rock Community volunteer firefighter, and a member of the Ste. Genevieve Genealogical Society.
A memorial gathering will be held after 9:00 A.M. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Sacred Heart Church until the time of memorial Mass at 10:00 A.M., officiated by Fr. Clark Maes, pastor. Interment in Assumption Cemetery in Herculaneum, Missouri. Memorials in Gilbert's name are preferred to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
