   Lavada Emmons age 78, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her home. She was born February 13, 1939, in Tallapoosa, Missouri, the daughter of the late Myrtle Beatrice (nee Walls) and Charles Franklin Wells.
   In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Eugene "Herky" Emmons; sons Richard L. Emmons and Larry F. (the late Patricia) Emmons; sisters Ethel Hill, Elsie Tate, Addie Creach, Hester Chalk, Wilma "Sissy" Hamilton, and Selma "Sam" Perucca; and brothers Lonnie Wells, Herman Wells, Edgar Wells, Floyd "Pete" Wells, Lloyd "Buster" Wells, Cecil Wells, and J.L. Wells.
   She is survived by sons Mark (Cindy) Emmons of Festus and David (Diana) Emmons of De Soto, Missouri, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
   She was a retired factory worker for Crunden-Martin Manufacturing in St. Louis, Missouri.
   Visitation after 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 15, 2017, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, until the time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M., officiated by Rev. Cody Alley, chaplain of Mercy Hospice. Interment in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Missouri.
