Dorothy "Christine" Randen
, age 97, of Gideon, Missouri, formerly of Herculaneum, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon. She was born October 6, 1919, in Fredericktown, Missouri, the daughter of the late Bessie Bell (nee Mills) and George C. Baxter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Paul Randen, sister Juanita (the late Herbert) Bruhn, brother George (Jane survives of St. Louis, Missouri) Baxter, and grandson Christopher Michael Randen.
She is survived by sons Ron (Donna) Randen of Gideon, Terry (Krickett) Randen of Hudson, Florida, and Paul (Janet) Randen of Camdenton, Missouri; sister Violet (the late Alvin) Anderson of Potosi, Missouri; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was a former cook for the Dunklin R-5 school district and the Teamsters Camp in Herculaneum, and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God in Festus, Missouri.
Visitation after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., Pevely, Missouri, until the time of funeral services at 12:00 noon, officiated by Pastor Bruce Vinson, pastor of First Assembly of God in Campbell, Missouri. Interment in Herculaneum City Cemetery in Herculaneum. Memorials in Christine's name are preferred to the American Alzheimer's Association.
